what didn't you like? Dodgson doesn't look too bad, at least not as bad as before, and the others are fine

For some reason something about Louis Dodgson doesn't seem right...
Its something about his charcter that we're missing...
Hm, lets see...., something about him in this script just doesn't match what Dodgson was like in the orginal JP.
Righto, he's like..., a strong silent type..., he seems a little singleminded and he's the type of person who can be best compared to like a "Secret agent" (as Nedry says so in JP).
I think the way how Dodgson speaks in this script is inaccurate..., I think the real Dodgson speaks in a 'formal' way...but with a emotionless tone of voice.

well, that's a bit controversial. the main reason being that he was really doing covert operations in JP. now, he would be pretty darn excited to see dinosaurs on the island. just envision the way he said "how are you going to beat security?" and replace those with the new words like"isn't that amazing?" it works out ok. now of course he wouldn't be all silly and cheering his head off, but he would be a little excited.

remember, we only got a glimpse of his personality in JP, here he would be a little more relaxed.

Yes. He should be relaxed but a bit like one of those officals who have a mind that is aware of the environment around him. In other words, he knows what he's doing and what to expect (you guys have got the last bit).
Question: have you guys decided what is gonna happen with this plot?
What is gonna happen to Lew Dodgson?

I got another idea while reading the current premise. Hear this out.

The movie opens to Dodgson watching a team through a video link that is sent to take blood samples from a Spinosaurus. The animal is taken down and Dodgson heads to the scene to take it's bloodsample. This is the first time he will see one of the animals upclose.

Levine goes to see a lecture where Alan Grant is talking about his experiences in the two islands. He hears that Ian Malcolm has pressed charges for the staff of InGen after John Hammond's death and the American government for doing nothing about the problem.

Cut to Washington as the government gets concerned about the dinosaurs when a flock of Pteranodons assault a city street. Levine hears about this and sets to a location in Central America with three of his students to find out what is going on. He settles down to a village full of fear for the unknown threat looming in the jungle. Levine plans to go and see what is out there, even after he's threatened by a mysterious official to keep his nose out of things that aren't of his concern.

The crooked officials try to find and arrest Levine but he escapes to the jungle before they find him, willing to risk his life to find out the truth.

Levine's little team enters an area that is being seperated by electric fence. As soon as they get past it, they are attacked by a pack of venom spitting Dilophosaurs. The Costa Rican guide that was with them gets killed.

As soon as Levine manages to scramble away he is captured by agents working for Biosyn Corporation and is taken to an underground complex holding eight dinosaur species, the following being,

Triceratops
Dilophosaurus
Velociraptor(two different versions, one being a chameleon type, the other a feathered variation with great intelligence)
Pachycephalosaurus
Compsognathus
Ankylosaurus
Ceratosaurus/Pygmy T-Rex
Spinosaurus

Levine realizes that Biosyn was behind the mayhem all along. To his horror, he is explained that they caught young specimen of Pteranodons and taught them to stay around the laboratory area so they would be easier to study. Indeed, the area has a big nesting ground where Biosyn has built an artificial river for the animals to feed. Some Pteranodons, however, had attacked the North American city, but no one in Biosyn knows where they came from, this because of a tracking system they have installed on all of the flying serpents. But this is not the only surprise Biosyn has in store. They plan to genetically alter the species they have for research that uses new genetic data to map out the genome of a dinosaur. A program for super dinosaurs is also being planned for the military. Levine opposes the idea and tries to prevent them from manipulating the dinosaurs.

After a scientist is brutally killed in an accident with the aggressive Spinosaur, the team behind the security also get's concerned about the logic behind the whole operation. There are now two groups of people, ones that think the whole thing should be shut down(backed up by Levine's claims of people dying in the village), and the ones that want to continue the research, threatening the ones who are against it with lawsuits. Dodgson and his two guerillas(that being Baselton and King), realize that the scientists and the crew of the facility turning against them could jeopardise their future in the company and bring up a plan to steal the research and get rid of Levine and everyone else involved. They shut down the power in the laboratory area, causing the door locks to jam, sealing the whole crew inside, setting to the job of getting the needed samples of blood and eggs.

Unknown to Dodgson, the intelligent Raptor type has been moving in the facility without anyone noticing it, and has now destroyed the generators that feed the facility with electricity, and therefore releases the other deadly dinosaurs. Dodgson now has bigger problems, to avoid the dinosaurs from killing him, and preventing his men from freaking out. It is up to Levine to stop Dodgson from leaving with the samples and securing the facility so no dinosaurs can get out of the area. Which group survives? Can Levine contact the U.S military and get everyone out safely?

Scenes that could be used are:

Ankylosaurs and a Triceratops causing havock inside the complex.

Dodgson stealing Pachycephalosaurus eggs from their enclosure while the animals are distracted in mauling one of his men to death. This makes Baselton lose his trust to his leader.

A firefight with Dilophosaurs that have gotten out of their fenced area and into the facility.

The feathered Raptor type finishing off the reptilian versions.

Baselton getting ripped apart by a Ceratosaurus(aka book style).

Dodgson, while in Site B, watches a T-Rex fighting a Trike in the distance.

I still have to tweak it a little bit.

Ok, That had some cool stuff in it. alot of things that definately get you thinking.

I like throwing some dilophos in there. But I want to see a hand to "claw" sceen with a human comming out on top. you know like a fight.

Good Ideas. I just don't want a whole bunch of Dinos on the main land. a few but not many.

no Rex on mainland. I've got an Idea for a Carnotaurus on the main land but rex will be on the Island with dodgson. I'll look at some stuff.

I dunno..

Hey, Don''t be affraid to take what I've written and copy it. then you can add your sceens. I don't wan't to make the whole story. Or If you want you can post your sceens in detail, with dialouge and story.

GUYS I DONT MIND IF YOU TAKE WHAT I HAVE AND ADD ON TO IT. OR IF YOU POST YOUR SCRIPTS FEEL FREE TO SHOW YOUR VARIATIONS OF THE STORY.

Yeah, there will only be a few species. The Spinosaur(or the T-Rex) can be left out of the mainland part. Perhaps, instead of a super predator, Levine could be attacked by a pack of Dilophosaurs, the guide fighting with one to give the others more time, managing to overpower it, getting spat to the eyes, and then killed by the other Dilos. The two bigger species(Trike, Anky) are held in a bunker where they won't be getting out for the whole story, only held there because Biosyn picked them for the research. How does that sound?
