From IESB:

"Frank Marshall on Bourne Ultimatum, Indy 4, Jurassic Park 4, Gremlins, and Back to the Future!
Author: Robert Sanchez

Frank Marshall's most recent work, Roving Mars, will premiere exclusively on the IMAX screen on January 27th. He has had a hand in so many hits over the years that we weren't sure which one to ask about first when we sat down to talk with him today!

Here are some updates on projects that Frank Marshall is involved with,

Bourne Ultimatum - Will begin shooting on August 1st. He says it has nothing to do with the book only the title is the same. There may be a relationship starting up between Julia Styles character and Matt Damon.

Indiana Jones 4 - Will happen immediately following Bourne Ultimatum. He wouldn't confirm or reveal anything but said it is moving forward and everyone is happy with what they have read. He has yet to read the script but said that everyone will be reading it very soon. He would not say if Sean Connery would return or not.

Jurassic Park 4 - Will begin directly after Indiana Jones

Gremlins - No go on Gremlins regarding any remakes or sequels.

Back to the Future - A fourth installment will not be made.

Stay tuned to the IESB for further updates!"

I first saw the link to this article on IGN, which included a number of errors (mislabeling the new Bourne movie "The Bourne Supremacy" and saying that Spielberg would "naturally" be directing the next Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park), but at least the direct source seems more reliable. I don't know. Here's hoping!

I just checked on imdb and it appears that Frank Marshall has never produced a Jurassic Park film before, but he was involved with Indiana Jones series (as producer/executive producer), so I'm still not sure what to think. If this is truly the schedule of his films, however, JP IV could start production by 2007/2008!

Well, if it's true...

That's quite a long wait....

I'm glad they're not trying to do another Backto the Future because it would just ruin the series. However, I'm also against them making another Indiana Jones movie. My main reason being they would have to replace Harrison Ford and it would be brought "up-to-date" and fancier.

If they would skip that...they could start JP4 sooner /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Hopefully this should give them time to make a decent script and get pre-production sorted.

I hope, as TM said, that they'll take their time for JP4, they have the chance to do it. Universal can not make the same error as for JP3 again.

Yeah, Part III was very disappointing. Not scary. Too short. Awful score. etc. etc.

Well, the score was okay. Sure, Don Davis is no John Williams but he is good at making blaring action-movie scores, which is exactly what JP3 needed. I'll say this, the JP3 soundtrack is the only JP sound track I own.

It didn't need to be "scary." I needed to be exciting and suspenseful, but not scary.

I agree with you about it being too short.

As for the score, I agree with pack raptor. However, I would have liked to see him be more original. It sounded like he re-used the JP score a lot and tweaked it. TLW had original themes and only used the JP theme for the credits.

Blasphemy!

I like all three. But the Williams ones are must haves! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
