Does anyone have any favourite dinosaurs artists? I know there's a guy called Graham Rosewarne who's done some really good looking drawings of dinosaurs and other prehistoric life, though he's really more of an illustrator rather than being confined to 'paleoart'. I've put some links so you can look at a few samples of his work -

There's also some other work you should look at by someone called Neil Lloyd; his dinosaurs look quite good but what I like about his work are the landscapes. I like the mix of palm tree-jungle type environments and pine tree environments growing in a kind of dusty, dry earth. Actually, after looking at the links below, if anyone knows if the landscapes resemble any places in the world, could you please let me know? Here of some samples of Neil Lloyd -

Of course I'm also a big fan of the concept art Stan Winston's team created for the JP movies. I especially like the distinctive square-snouted look of the T-rex. Did that guy Mark 'Crash' McCreery design most of the dinosaurs for the first JP, and does anyone know if he designed any of them before the movie went into production? I've seen some work by him of the T-rex and some of the raptors, but they were more in an action pose rather than the normal white background used for concept art, so I was wondering if he'd designed before and when he was asked to do Jurassic Park he showed some of his own personal work to Stan Winston to use.
If anyone knows any other good dinosaur artists or artwork, please post it here!

Those pictures are really cool. I wish I had the ability to draw like that. I usually browse www.deviantart.com for dinosaur images and whatnot.

Todd Marshall- awesome artist, eerily similar to Crash's work
Brett Booth
Gabriel Lio
Jorge Gonzalez
All of who's work can be found here along with many other up-and-coming paleo artists.
William Stout- simply a legend of the genre
Brian Franczak
Luis V. Rey
Ricardo Delgado- especially love his design for the aborted 1994 Jon DeBont Godzilla project

Just wondering about Crash McCreery and his role as concept artist for JP. He worked for the Stan Winston studio, and when they first go about designing creatures, the first step is to do concept art. I was wondering if McCreery had possibly already drawn some dinosaurs, maybe just for his leisure, and then when the JP project came along for the Stan Winston studio, he showed his artwork for the rest of the team and they based their work on that.
I found a Jurassic Park souvenir magazine in a charity shop, and there was one section entitled ' The Art Of 'Crash' ' - it had some sketches of the T-rex and raptors, but they weren't side-on, white background drawing like that of concept art for movies. Only I was browsing the IMDB for all the 3 of the JP movies and in the entire list of crew, only McCreery was referred to as concept artist. TLW had him and one other guy called John Bell. I'm assuming that McCreery's name was there for the designs of the original dinosaurs featured in the first JP (EG T rex, raptors, brachiosaurus) and then maybe Bell designed some of the dinos newly featured in TLW (EG Stegosaurs, pachcephalosaurs)
I basically want to know if McCreery was pretty much the sole concept artist for the first JP movie, does anyone know if that's correct?

About the scenery of Neil Lloyd, such places could exist but there aren't many. Most dry places have Angiosperms growing so not Gymnosperms which are the conifers.
However it wouldn't be hard to create that kind of landscape in an area.

When all is said and done and the world is empty how much does it really matter the amount of money you had or what car you drove?
