Ok well I talked to the guy who was quoted in this article, asking him if he said that to the author of the Nature article based on any inside information, is he a consultant on the movie, etc. This is what he said:

"I was not a consultant, [they were] just guesses... Also
many of the animals were fluffy in the last one."

Since I didn't report the original rumor, I doubt I'll be posting this on the front page, but, well, there ya go.

Trex with feathers!? What would it need them for!? Keep rex as he is. Keep all the dino's as they were, raptors with slightly fluffyness would be neat...

Dinosaurs with feathers? Cool idea! Bring it on. I'm also a big bird fan.. not only dinosaurs. But the adult dinosaurs in the movie shouldn't have them. I Also think that only theropods had feathers... well, that means:
Feathered carnivore dinosaurs like Velociraptor or Compy would be a very cool idea. But please Mr. Spielberg (and we all know that they hadn't them) don't let wear big herbivores like Brachiosaurs feathers! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":lol:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> It has been discovered until now that they hadn't them!

I'm pretty sure he wouldn't do something that stupid, what would they need feathers for anyway? They're too big to need insulation, and displaying can be done in other ways. So I'm really hoping he doesn't feather them.
