(As a note, if Vel encountered you again, he would stare until either a) you made a move, or b ) he saw the staring as pointless after a while and would continue walking away. He wouldn't scurry off like a coward. He only runs away from life threats, and one attack like that wouldn't traumatize him. Which leads me to ask: are we allowed to make actions for other people's characters?)

Slash was tyerd so he and his pack slept in some bushes

An Oviraptor named Wroke leaped down on a juvenile marginocephalian. Wroke had a distinctive crest and a pair of side-by-side rows of teeth in his jaws. He was about the size of a sheep and sported double-jointed arms. Wroke pulled and sliced at the herbivore's carcass quickly. This was his first kill/meal for over a week. His parents and siblings were killed months ago by a deranged raptor named Lynx. Wroke was only spared because Lynx had eaten his fill before he could get to the young Oviraptor. Wroke then fled the nest, only to come back when the hunt took him there. He was always on the lookout for Lynx, but rarely saw him, probably because, after all, it is easy to lose track of someone on the move in the woods of Isla Sorna.
Wroke was contented wih the marginocephalian's meat and climbed into a tree, where he slept until he was awoken by a hiss.
