I just don't get it. What makes Jurassic Park such a horrible and shameful thing that everyone who made the film treat it as some kind of a sin, or a embarrasment? All I'm asking is why? Why? Why make these films when you don't even like them? Is money truly that important to them, more important than the  sense of pride of what they've done during these past 12 years? Makes me really ashamed to be a Jurassic Park fan. Even George Lucas showed more respect to his Star Wars movies(perhaps because he had more power over his creation).  /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

These movies may be atleast entertaining, but the unacceptable fact is that the people who made them treat these movies like cr@p. All I want is atleast a bit more responsibility.

I doubt that Spielberg would even produce the next JP film, if there ever is one. Simply because he doesn't care anymore, he did his thing with JP, TLW, and even produced JP3, so I wouldn't be surprised if he felt it was time to move on. You couldn't blame him for it, you'd get pretty bored too working on the 3rd sequel to a movie you did 12 years ago.

As far as most movie-go-ers are concerned, the Jurassic Park franchise can't be stretched any further. So, if they do go ahead and make this movie, they're going to have to go with an idea that takes the franchise in a new direction. I don't think that Spielberg, Michael Crichton, or even David Koepp will come up with a great idea for a 4th film, but I do think a Hollywood new-comer will.

Dinoslayer, you really shouldn't let this get to you. There are so many movies stuck in development hell that aren't completed until 5, 10, sometimes even 20 years after they're announced. Just take Alien vs. Predator for example, that film was supposed to start production in 1992.

the best choice is to end it, and prevent any possibility of new sequels made for profit. end the series with some dignity, and lay it to rest.

there's no room for another direction, if it is the end

You said the exact thing I've been chanting for a long time. There are no plausible ideas left. I think the first movie was the only real one, the sequels(in the case of this film) being obsolete. I hope as well that this thing can finally be laid to rest. JP3 was bad, true, but not overwhelmingly bad and, if looked from a certain angle, is actually good enough to be called The End. In fact, having another movie THAT WE KNOW can not be any better would only ruin it further. As I've said so many times, there is nowhere to go. JP3 was unoriginal enough already.

You're right. I shouldn't take it that personally. After all, they haven't done that bad of a damage to the series yet. It is only up to us to keep this fan community going if there will no fourth film made. Can I get an amen?

QUOTE I wish that I just could get in touch with Spielberg and ask him if this thing is mobile anymore or not.[/quote]

Actually thats possible to do. Why not email Universal Studios through its website?

I e-mailed universalstudios.com about a month ago and asked them about JPIV. I still haven't gotten a response. As a matter of fact, I e-mailed them about JPIV last fall, and I never got a response.

I think it's kinda pointless. There's very little chance of any of us getting in touch with him. Infact, I just wrote to him about my views of the films and how they have affected my life but I know I will most probably never receive an answer. The reason? Universal has a very sloppy way of answering their mail, being it e-mail or a letter. It really depends on who reads your message.
