I have always wondered this same thing! Why, if Muldoon was such a raptor expert, was he so clueless about their hunting strategies?
"And that's when the attack comes, not from the front but from the side....from the other two raptors you didn't even know were there."
Seems like even the six-foot turkey kid could have taught Muldoon a few things about raptors. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
Yeah, although Muldoon is perhaps one of my favourite characters.. he was pretty clueless.
And that '6 foot turkey kid' remark.. priceless! /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
I remember going into the cinema and being so excited about seeing JP/// but I really did come out feeling a bit empty. It didn't have the 'feel' of a Jurassic Park movie. To be honest.. even the San Diego scene in TLW was a let down for me.
They should continue to have movies on the Islands and go back to the whole theme park idea. It's a way better experience.

Just an interesting note. My Cousins actually got to meet that "six foot turkey" kid, he's a mormon and was on one of his Missions. One of his stops just happened to be my Aunts house in Peoria, Il.

My problems with the movie (probably the same as many others'):
-The plot in general was just too simple and easy to anticipate what was going to happen again.
-There were a lot of plot holes concerning some of the dinosaurs' origins (ex: Where did the Spino come from? What happened to the raptors and their heads?). I realize some topics were explained on forums such as this, but the fact is they weren't in the movie.
-Another plot hole: If there is a whole U.N. protection of the island, and Costa Rican security, why was nothing done for the cast's plane after it crashed (since the Costa Rican government knew the plane was there)?
-The filmmakers tried to make the dinosaurs look cool in this new movie. Why, though? The dinos don't need to be made cool, they're ALREADY cool by themselves. Showing off new moves and presenting 'awesome' new types of dinos is a pathetic attempt to keep the interest of an audience who would see the movie no matter what.
There are good parts to the movie, but that's probably for another thread. Overall, the movie is decent by itself, but a terrible addition to the franchise.

Plot Predictable he says, Costa Rica knew they were there he says.
Am I the only one who has a problem with this?

After all the movies I've seen, the ending to JP3 wasn't surprising to me.
The Costa Rican government knew because they contacted the plane by radio as it was approaching the island. One would assume they could tell when a plane leaves the island. Seeing that the plane went off radar, it's not hard for a cadet radar operator to think something's off.

I still dont understand why the government didnt simply send troops immediately after they lost the contact to the plane.Grant wouldnt have really needed to call Ellie for that.

Probably the same reason they wouldn't go look for Eric & Ben, they didn't want to risk it.
Grant called Ellie cause he knew Mark worked for the Government, and might've been able to pull some strings for a rescue.

That's what the film industry likes to call "disunity" in film. It would have made a lot of sense for a least a high-flying plane to scan the island for a crash or something (remember, the Dino-Soar people were hiding from such a plane before starting the ride), but it was a dramatic element that there was "no chance of rescue" without the phone to call someone. Even though it'd make more sense in the movie world for someone to show up to see what happened, it was beter for the audience for it not to. Still, it made the movie all that more unrealistic for me.
