If it was close (in Southern California) I'd go. Otherwise, I most likely would have no chance of going.

Whoever it was that said that it'd be a good idea to attach it to another big convention has a good idea. Depending upon turnout to that, there could then be a larger, more specific convention or something. That would be totally awesome.
Thank you. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

The only problems I can forsee are that there are so many people that are very far away. I mean, many are saying, "If it's not near here, I can't go." Well, if you're too young and can't go by yourself, bug the family! If you think you won't have the money, save up and get a better paying job. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> But, sounds like this is a few years off, so there's plenty of time to save, kids.

If you are planning holidays, wait till Jon says where, then casually suggest that place and date to your family. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Hey, well I'm always up for one, but yeah, I think we still gotta wait a bit for a bunch of our members to break away from the family and such. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
But hey, I'll be in Denver at the Society of Vertebrate Paleontology Meeting this next week (2nd to the 7th) so if anyone is around that area... I don't have a freakin' clue how you'd find me, but hey, I'll be there! /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
And yeah, I've met both Jess MacPhisto and SamFan at Uni Studios there in Cali and its always fun. I'm not thinkin' we'd get a convention goin' so much as just meet somewhere, and I think a place like Uni Studios would work perfectly. But it is a bit pricey, hence why I think it'll be a while. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
And, given another 6 months, if all goes well, I'll be back in Cali permanently (well, for Grad School anyway) so there'll probably actually be a couple of ya I can meet then. I just need to get my frozen butt outta South Dakota. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

How about having it in Canada?!...*ducks from flying objects*...murrr...well if such a convention does happen I'll probably be desperate enough to go...just depends on if I have money at the time...and if it's in a location where I'll actually have other stuff to do...i.e. Universal Studios.
Oooo! I could wear one of my site's T-shirts and be admired by all the 12 year old members...and then get arrested for hanging out with so many little kids...and then get murdered in jail over a piece of cornbread while waiting out the legal system. God damnit...I need more over 18 visitors.

I'd love to attend, Jon... but, well... location, location, location. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Here at SVP. So far its pretty cool. Talks are pretty good and I've met up with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in a while, done a little schmoozin'. Good stuff. I just hope my whinny roommates don't ruin it. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />
