No not really, but as long as he contains the knowledge that these are leathal weapons and that if misused they can cause harmful consequences then it is a show of respect for him. Many idiots leave guns unlocked, get drunk and then go off and do something stupid,

Anything can be lethal... Hell I can use a bible to kill a room of people, you can light it on fire or hit a infant in the head repeatly! Ya that sounds freaking psycho scary but REMEMBER, Guns dont kill people, people kill people... -GTAIII

All my weapons are stored in a safe place. I do not leave them out helter skelter. Given I may arm myself maybe with one beside my bed, but seeing how it's my fiancee and myself I have no need to worry about small children seeing how we don't have any and don't want any yet.

P.S. I'm not sure if I'll ever get a gun, it's too much of a responsibility which I don't have.
