Precisely, the movie has no substance, nothing that relates us to the characters, nothing that elucidates us even more with InGen's work... It simply doesn't have that Jurassic Park feel... *sigh*

We see only the Spinosaurus-Velociraptor-Pteranodon trio during almost all the movie. All the others dinosaurs make a short appereance, for example (approximate times):
Brachiosaurus: 10 seconds
Compsognathus: 7 seconds
Ceratosaurus: 7 seconds
Brachiosaurus: 10 seconds
Compsognathus: 7 seconds
Ceratosaurus: 7 seconds

I was kinda excited to see the ceratosaurus too but got disappointed when it was there for only a few seconds.... it sucked. *growls*

And, because of this film, I actually loath the thought for another JP without Spielberg. Just..............dump the damn thing for good. We've had enough.
It sucks that all the quality films are overshadowed with sloppily made sequels and the jerks who get a good enough excuse from them to bash the original. I hate how people make sequels of awesome movies and they suck majorly. Most sequels do... There are a few that I actually liked but most of the time they're just a waste of time. It's all about money too. The first movie is done to make money but it is also a great story and such but then some idiots have to make a sequel and ruin the whole effect of the movie just cuz they got terribly lazy and only wanna make money.
