Why doesn't anyone (seem to) like JP///?

Was it the original DNA manipulated Jurassic Park, the return of inGen in The Lost-World, or just the worth-wild running around frantically Jurassic Park III that captured your imagination.

The pteranodon feeding Eric to her babies felt like one of those wierd 1910's-1920's cavemen movies.

I think it was too...

Also, I'm more of a JP1 fan..., thsi is because when it came out, it was something new and no one had seen anything like it. The story also flowed a little better (no offence), and the scripting and directing was great! ......I could go on and on...

it increased the suspense dramatically

It, of course, would only work if you actually cared for the characters in some small minimal ways.

I think, vicariously, this is why JP3 was so bad. It was too formulaic... to predictable. In fact, I didn't want to see anything that sticks to the Jurassic Park formula in JP3. The rings are a trademark, sure, (this is probably going over the top), but things like this should not have been in JP3. I didn't want to walk out of that movie positive I had something like the original.

In a sense, this is why I like The Lost World so much. It takes a whole new spin on the franchise, and has a few things in it I would never have expected. I hope JP4 does the same, and really tries to do something new and spectacular... it's all good to say you want a nostalgaic Jurassic Park experience, but in the long run, don't you really want a killer, original dinosaur movie?

you know that's exactly what they tried to make in JP3...and look how that turned out...

the point is, this may be that last JP film. if that's so, not only does it have to be really good, it also has to bring it full circle, thus bringing back some things that make us say"now that's Jurassic Park" and still being exciting, leaving both fans and others satisfied when we leave the theater

of course everyone wants some new twists to be integrated in there, but we can't go too far and make a movie that's basically a dinosaur movie using the JP liscence that actually has nothing to do with it

That's exactly how I feel. If Universal is going to make JP4, they might as well go completely over the top. I would be so disappointed if JP4 is just another excuse for people to get trapped on an island. They should just go crazy with it because this probably will be the last one. I'd rather see them try something completely different and go out in a blaze of glory than do the same old dinosaur run-around and go out with a whimper.

But if it's just another plot rehash what's the point?
