Well, I recall him mentioning this was before he was with her. If he still wants to be with her, it's his decision to learn from. I can't hold his hand for him and he's going to make stupid decisions anyway (I know from experience), so it's probably better he figures out some of these things himself. The world seems to cater to stupidity anyway.
