New Series based on Simpsons DISCARDED!!!!!!!!

Some interesting stuff here. Maybe you already know, but before Futurama was even proposed, Matt Groening put forward a proposal to make a series on Homer in the 80's. Fox discarded the idea. And so the question must be asked- WHY GOD WHY!!!!!!!!!!???????

Why? Because the Simpsons currently sucks, and a spin-off wouldn't make it better.

Ditto. Family Guy was doing great, it was ultimatley becoming the NEW Simpsons, but FOX, being FOX, cancelled it and now TBS and Comedy Central run nothing but re-runs.

Yes, but Family Guy, even though only in re-runs, never becomes unfunny.

I never enjoyed that show, the humor was too obvious and dull for my taste
