I'm just curious. My girlfriend and I watch it enough. We just kinda laugh at the Kirbys and stare in awe at the beauty of the Velociraptors, and of course get angry when the T-Rex goes down.

The Tyrannosaurus should have owned that Spinosaurus...
And that Billy kid should have never been in it. (or have been found dead, no way I would have survived 8 weeks, a or stupid 14 year old for that matter)

Anyways, why don't any of you like it? I really thought it was alright, not the best in the series (I think I like TLW the best out of the three).

(Er, no offense to any 14 year olds)

I don't like it very much because it just doesn't have the same feel as the other two (probably from lack of SPIELBERG...) For example they try to put humor into weird places. It just has that cheesy sequel feel to it.

...Plus it has Tea Leoni in it, wife of that horribly piggish man named David Duchovny.... /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />

What I didn't like about it was that it diverged from the other films and portrayed the dinosaurs more like monsters than real animals. That was the true premise of JP; to show the dinosaurs were animals, not because they were supposedly scientifically accurate. JP3 just made the Spinosaurus a typical movie monster. I still watch it, but I just don't like what it did for the series.

I dislike it because it was too short, portrayled the dinosaurs as monsters. Killed teh T-rex, and they put that fight too near the start. It looks good but lacks substance. It would have been great if Speilberg had directed but he was noble and not greedy and thought some else should have a chance to make a JP film. As for Eric surviving for 8 weeks. There is a short kiddies book that could have made a good spin off (well all 3 JP: Adventures would have made a great spin-off). It seems Universal lost that love and magic that came with JP and TLW, you know bringing dino-mania. JP3 was a movie only fans really went to and were disappointed ( and fans are the worst to disappoint because it means a death threat is placed on those who ruined the film!Well not really!) and that was bad. And one more thing... WHERE THE HECK WERE THE DILOPHOSAURUS? That would have made JP3 real cool. Some of the posters on the DVD are good eye-candy though with catchy phrases.

Except for the T-Rex thing, I liked it just fine. I for one see absolutely nothing wrong with portraying dinosaurs as monsters, though that Spino was a little too Jaws-esque if ya ask me. Its not a great movie or anything but its still fun. I at least like it better than the first one. The FX in the first one are spectacular and all, but the rest of the movie really isn't anything special. Save Jeff Goldblum and Ariana Richards, of course. Hell I've seen better Godzilla movies. Still neither of them compare the TLW. Who cares if the second one had faults, next to Jaws & The Last Crusade, its easily Speilberg's best. Besides Speilberg is an idiot. I still hate him for all the changes he made to the story. All of the best scenes from the book were cut out and Muldoon, my favorite character in the book, was totally wasted on film. If he's such an expert on Velociraptors then why did he fall into that ambush so easily. Thats a bigger mistake than anything that happened in TLW. If you wanna see a great dinosaur movie then The Valley of Gwangi & Caveman are your best bets. I haven't watched the original in probably six or seven years, and I really never intend to ever watch it again. Jurassic Park 3 acomplished what it was suppose to and I'm quite content with the end result.

I have always wondered this same thing! Why, if Muldoon was such a raptor expert, was he so clueless about their hunting strategies?

"And that's when the attack comes, not from the front but from the side....from the other two raptors you didn't even know were there."

Seems like even the six-foot turkey kid could have taught Muldoon a few things about raptors. /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

I think anyone stranded on an island with giant flesh eating reptiles that are smarter then you would become helpless pretty quickly. But JP/// sucks. Yep.
