Jurassic Park 4 Spy Report Tuesday, June 29, 2004

An anonymous source checked in with the following info:

I thought I'd just give you a quick update on the fourth installment of 'Jurassic Park'.

First of all, for the fans worrying about it not making it for Summer 2005 - it won't. The plan now by the big execs is to release the film Winter 2005 or Spring 2005. Between December-April. The script is being rewritten by John Sayles, but is based on an earlier draft by a man called William Monahan.

I can't tell you much about the plot, in fact, I really can't tell you anything. You will be glad to hear a majority of the animals will be marine reptiles.

Sam Neill is not returning for this movie, but Jeff Goldblum and Richard Attenborough are. The rumours that scenes have already been filmed are false. There is not even a director signed to the project yet. However, I hear one may be a man by the name of Alex Proyas. I think he made the Crow several years ago. He's still in discussion.

For some people the following news is very bad - the Spinosaurus is back! I know a lot of people weren't fond of her, but she'll be badder in this version. The raptors are also back, apparently.

Last thing - the Pinewood filming is true except that it is March 2005, not January. James Bond has booked most of the studios so it won't be able to film until then. They also need time to build a massive tank for the aquarium scenes.

There you have it! More to come...

I think it`s possible, the time must go on...but in winter???
Okay, I`m happy, because Jeff Goldblum is back! /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

Though Neill isn't, so it's gonna suck if true.

Erm, no Sam /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

I could believe some of that but other aspects of it seem sketchy.

The Spinosaurus "will be badder?" What's it gonna do now? Swoop down from the mountaintops and breathe fire? All while Horner tells us this is how the animal was in life?

Aquarium...no.

Fake. Fake. Fake. Fake. Fake. Same rumor has been posted at Dan's for the last week and its been proven false. I wont believe anything till I read the official press release for Jurassic Park 4.

This, or what?

Neill Talks JP4, Debunks 'Military Dinos' Rumor
Update: Word comes Sam Neill's "people" via the Neill mailing list that the following news is incorrect and that as of now, Neill is not in JP4. While Neill did appear on the radio show, the info about JP4 is made up. The original story follows: Some encouraging news today about JP4 courtesy of Countingdown.com, who reports that Sam Neill was on a Australian radio show this morning where he said not only were they still working on a script, but he would definetly be in it, and that the rumor that the story would deal with military-trained dinosaurs is bunk. For the whole thing, check out Countingdown.com. (Thanks 'Malcolm' and 'Oviraptor')

No we don't.

If it's the last installment, you would think that they would try to bring back almost everyone, esp. Grant. At least for closure--

And they can take however long they want before they film, I rather wait and have them write a good story and script before going into filming. We don't need another JP3.
