I'm not really sure if anyone here is a new college student, but I have some advice if you are.

Especially if you get to a BIG new school, theres some things you should know.

YOU NEED TO GET OUT AND MAKE NEW FRIENDS!

Sorry to out it harshly, but I've seen it a few times, kids come, cant really make friends. If you spend all day sitting in your room your going to have a hard time. One thing that REALLY helps is to at least leave your door open while your in your room, you should meet some people that way.

Anther thing you can do is at the start of the year many schools will have stupid little get togethers, and games, stuff like that, the seem like they are really stupid, but they will help you make friends.

Get to class early, and talk with the people there, if its a class before lunch head over to the caffateria with them.

You read some of this and thing "duh" but for its been awhile since new college students have generally had to make new friends.

Oh yeha, i forgot.

If you can, DONT LIVE AT HOME!

Dorm life is SO much fun! Sure, it can stuck first semester/year, but by then you should have found some freinds and you should sign up to live with them

Blah. I dunno, I guess I'm weird or something, but the whole idea of campus life has disgusted me since I was too young to even have to worry about such things. I've got my schedule arranged to where all my classes are right in a row and I spend as little time on campus as possible.

But that's just me. And I'm weird. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

What are you talking about, I live in my dorm! I like never leave unless I have class or on the search for food or.. or.. on my way home for something. Wait, maybe thats why no one outside my dorm knew who I was last year. LOL. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Well, unfortunately some of us don't live anywhere near where we go to school-- otherwise I'd have my car and I'd surely stay as far away from campus as possible. lol! But I'd say the first two years of dorming was alright, but when you become a senior it's like..eehhh... kinda want your own space... permanently lol

Heh... having your own space.... what a great thing... or so I thought. But now, after only one week of being back I'm realizing... I can't afford to live off campus... too late now... heh. Man I hate school... too freakin' expensive. I should just drop out, get a full-time job and live it easy... guh.

Well, I just called my new roomate. No problems there. It appears he was also at Rutgers Camden, dormed on the floor below me in 413. Where-as I was in room 515 at Camden. So, we've both seen each other around campus. Should be an interesting year.

He also drives a 2000 Volvo... damnit, my car seems so old... but hey its a classic now! 1985 Berlinetta Camaro!
