Just a sort of mindless poll. Wondering howmany people have read it.
p.s. Is this the right place?

Oh Yahh! Can people also put in their responses what books by Michael Crichton they have read?

I've read the novel at least once every year since the movie came out back in '93. Its actually been really fun, since each time (at least, for the first few years) I picked up on something new that I didn't comprehend the previous time through (I was six when I first read it; a lot of the chaos theory went way over my head). Now, though, it's like an old friend. My one regret is that I saw the movie before I read the novel; in retrospect, I would have loved to compare what I saw in my mind's eye to what was forced on me by watching the movie (in a good way, of course). Other Crichton novels I've read include The Lost World, The Andromeda Strain, Timeline, Prey, Congo, Airframe, and Eaters of the Dead (though I barely remember the last three). And, of course, State of Fear once I can get my hands on it.

Yeah, I saw the movie before I read the book, ever since then, I bet I read completely at least once, sometimes twice, and I read parts of it tons and tons times...

I just read the novel for the first time 2 weeks ago. I have always been a fan of the movie since I saw it back in '93, but I never read the book until now. I actuallly enjoyed the movie better than the book. They were both good, but the novel was a bit slow at times, and I felt that the river rafting sequence was a bit too gimmicky, even for Jurassic Park. Also, I thought that Malcolm was annoying in the novel. He wouldn't shut up, even when he was dying he still blabbed on lecturing to everyone about the Chaos theory.

Other Micheal Chrichton novels I have read are: Prey, and A Case of Need.

I read the book before I saw the movie. The movie is utter crap compared to the book. Especially according to my sister. She loves the book, still one of her favorites, yet absolutely hates the movie & Steven Speilberg. I do think The Lost World was much better than the book. The only cool thing in the book that wasn't in the movie was the Carnotaurs.

The novels are great.

The second one is the best. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Anyone who hasn't read the book shouldn't be registered to the this website. You make me sick.
