Yeap, today. Sad news. Seriously.

I walked down the 2 rooms from mine asking some floor-mates if they had a copy of Windows XP since the newest update whiped out my registry. Upon doing so, someone walked into my room and stole my laptop. It looks like I'll be without a computer till I come home for the Winter. I'm sorry guys. Hopefully the 23rd comes soon.

On an up note. The HDD was trashed. Sometime last night as I said the registry crashed, so you cant boot windows nor format. All you hear is "Click, Click.. BEEP"

........ you Microsoft. Oh well, atleast they didnt take my external HDD.

But it amazes me that they could disconnect all that with in a matter of 30 seconds and run out.

Just spoke to ACER and they will be shipping out a replacement in the next 7 - 10 days! :-D

30 or so laptops get stolen each semester here at Acadia (every student gets one covered in their tuition)...they switched to Dells this year and now hard drives are failing daily...yay.

So you hard drive blows up and some ........ ends up with a non-working laptop and you end up with a brand spanking new one in a week or so... I think that worked out nicely.

You don't have that kind of support everywhere.
