Official Synopsis-
Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins explores the origins of the Batman legend and the Dark Knight's emergence as a force for good in Gotham. In the wake of his parents' murder, disillusioned industrial heir Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) travels the world seeking the means to fight injustice and turn fear against those who prey on the fearful.
He returns to Gotham and unveils his alter-ego: Batman, a masked crusader who uses his strength, intellect and an array of high tech deceptions to fight the sinister forces that threaten the city.

Ehh, i hate it when they restart things like that.

But yeah, i'm a continuity phr34k, so i generally dislike contradictions and alternate universes. lol

The way the last films were left.......a restart was inevitable.

It was inevitable only if they were considering continuing the series; after Batman and Robin the interest in the films dropped in both producers and fan's minds.

^ What he said. There are also reports on major movie sites that when the trailer was shown with other movies there were 'cheers and clapping'. This has been sad numerous times.
