Okay for the people on here that were anticipating the Star Wars DVDs...you guys remember that I gave you some VERY VERY accurate stuff from a guy that said he was an 'insider' at TFN.
I just passed on what I got. Anyway this guy now claims that this is concept art for the logo from JPIV...he sent it to my E-mail cause he knew that I was a JP fan (He remembers my old Alan_Grant SN at TFN! LOL!)
I dunno...this is ridiculous. I am not sure about it...but he HAS been right so many times before...and there even looks like there is a script or SOMETHING off to the right!

I feel a little foolish..., when I looked at it, I was like "WHAt the HECK is that?!"
but, lol..., I just realized it was a Dilophosaurus...
Now, question, why would they use the Spitter as their new Logo?!

interesting, specially if it means that the spitter are doing to be prominent in this movie.
But take this with a grain of salt: isnt it a bit strange? Dilos have been one of the least accurate dinosaurs in the JP movies, and they seemed to get the latest theories for the new movies. So we will have a non-spitting big (size correction) Dilo?
It would ruin his coolness, but would be more scientific.

But you see, that's exactly why it is perfect for JPIV. You haven't seen a dilophosaurus in a JP film since the original. It has so much potential to scare the crap out of people, especially if they use an adult dilophosaurus. I think that they'll put the scientific credibility aside, though. You just can't take away the venom spit, it's too cool.
I think it's a good poster, I'm definitely surprised by their choice, but it works out nicely. I didn't realize how scary a dilophosaur skeleton looks. I just hope we're not being had.

hmm...
a dilphosaurus...
Why is that maybe the new logo?
the dilophosaurus is not so special i think, why will they make a logo of a dilophosaurus, a velociraptor is better, but i'm still wondering when jurassic park 4 comes out.

Spitting is just too awsome to leave out. They need Dilos. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Man, either this is the light at the end of the tunnel or just another pile of sh*t.

I have began to get un-optomostic on news lately because all of it is always unconfirmed...but man, this logo just looks to good to be true! I'm actually optomistic and it fits so well with the announcement coming soon, this might possibly be what the announcement was all about for all we know. I hope this isn't a fake man!

Seems sketchy to me. And by sketchy, I mean whipped up in Photoshop and printed on photopaper, then placed by something formatted like a screenplay to pose for the camera. I mean, the whole thing is so dark and obscure. Movie logos tend to try to draw attention, not fade into the background (just look at the JPIII poster, for crying out loud). Everyone's hoping for a "darker" JP, and it looks like whoever made this was playing to that desire. The skeleton doesn't look like it matches the skull size at all (the skull is a graphic that they used in the first movie, which would be easy to find and import, but it would be much harder to match the rest of the skeleton from scratch or some other graphic, which is why I think it looks so odd). Plus, like "Luke Skywalker" said, with each JP movie they try to make the dinosaurs (at least the velociraptors) more accurate. It would be stupid to use the dilophosaurus (though I love it dearly and thought it was sorely lacking in JPIII, especially since they had a picture of it on the website under "dinosaurs featured in the movie") since they were so inaccurately portrayed in the first movie.
Then again, I would be glad to eat my own words if this were real (though I still wouldn't like the logo that much). As long as some progress is being made...
