From IGN:

"Steven Spielberg is taking a personal interest in Jurassic Park again, and some of the bits he cut from the first two films are going to make it into the fourth one.

The accomplished director shared some of his plan for the next movie in the dino series with students of the University of Southern California during a recent question and answer session. One scene he regrets leaving out of The Lost World was a major sequence in which the film's characters try to outrun velociraptors on motorcycles – the characters ride the motorcycles, not the raptors. Get it? The filmmakers said he definitely intends to include that sequence in Jurassic Park IV.

Spielberg also says that he's taking another look at Michael Crichton's original novel to find parts that would make solid additions to the next movie.

Now, if only we could get Spielberg to commit to a date. There's still no firm word on when production on JP IV may get underway."

Is there still...hope?

Eh, I'm still a skeptic until this actually gets greenlit by Universal.

I edit my original message, because Spielbergfilms.com confirmed that. I still can't believe that we finally have news.

I can't believe that everyone's so bloody busy. I come here expecting to see something that I could talk about and it turns out that no one has posted for another darned day. I mean, I even have free time in school and I got nothing to do in the net. I feel so bored. Does this same thing bother any of you sometimes? Anybody?

Anyways, it's great to know that the project is moving forward.

I'm happy Spielbergfilms.com confirmed that the article was in fact, true, and that they also got into contact with a rep from Amblin and got some more info.

And yeah, its very quiet here. /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />

I'd think people would be happy about this news, since it is, afterall, a Jurassic Park forum. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="<_<" border="0" alt="dry.gif" />

Oh yeah, and just to let people know, IGN Filmforce wasn't the first to get this news so its impossible for them to be "dicking around", Development Hell got it first, then the news went to AICN, then Joblo.com, then Comingsoon.net, and then IGN (i've been keeping track) and finally after I submitted the news to SPielbergfilms.com...Spielbergfilms.com. Then Steven (Not Spielberg), the webmaster, confirmed that the article was true because he doesn't like to put up false information and he got some "exclusive" information as well from someone with Amblin.
