I thought this would be a good topic to debate, and every board needs some controversial subject to debate on, though myself, I don't believe we should have same s** marriages, but occasionaly I like girl on girl action, lol

What's your all commentary on it?

Well, I thought it would be a good topic to debate myself, and as I said, just want to know everybodies opinion, though I don't think it should be legalized because it's moraly(i probably spelled it wrong) incorrect, and this country was found for religion, and it's a sin to do it, so why should a church recognize it if it goes against thier religion.

The country was founded with the principal of freedom of religion/belief. All because a church does not condone same-s** marriage does not necessarily make it wrong. A church has the right to prohibit same-s** marriage within its parameters, but it has no right to prohibit it on the federal level. In other words, there can never be a law making same-s** marriage illegal.

I also feel that the federal government needs to start realising that marriage is no longer completely religious and that now-a-days it is far more often simply a union of two people, hopefully very much in love. Having a religious marriage needs to be seen more as a supplement to the bare-bones of simply bonding with someone under the law. Marriage should not be made legal by a priest but rather a simple form, while having the walk down the aisle a ceremony. Instead of having marriage controlled by religion, it should be controlled by the law, and the law should definately allow same-s** marriage.

Well I can see your point, and you make a good argument, but the idea of seeing two guys make out in front of me turns my stomach, thats why I don't want to see it happen.

Yeah well, I'm going to watch what I say...I think, anyway I'm not out to offend anyone, but if someone can't handle it and gets mad let them, that just shows how simple minded, and tunnel visioned they are on topics.

Don't think I support same-s** marriage. What you just described there makes me want to hurl as well. /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

I just think no one has the right to restrict it.

Good, I thought you we're kinda of the liberal persuasion. Though it does look gross when two guys make out, because there is only one place where the wild goose can go, unlike lesbians...because there are like...many, lol
