This might be like asking much scallenger, but do you think you could explain, in-detail, how you got the sound effects and vocals out of the rip? I've tried it with Soundforge but I only succeed at getting the vocals out, and even then, they aren't all the way gone.

From what I understand, the music usually (in surround sound) comes from the rear speakers, along with some sound effects. One would have to isolate those tracks and extract the sections with music.

But I'm no expert.

Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and DTS 6.1 ES soundtracks have an extra channel for those fortunate enough to have six speakers in addition to the .1 LFE channel for the sub. You'll have better luck trying to extract music from the mixes by going through the front left/right and rear left/right channels. The center channel usually has the body of the sound effects and the dialogue. The .1 LFE has nothing at all.
