Evidence of Gizzard Stone Scene
Re:Evidence of Gizzard Stone Scene
Yes, the JP DVD is lacking deleted scenes, though most fairly knowledgeable people probably picked up the gall stone thing when they saw it (I was only 6, so of course I didn't!) but I got it later on.
Re:Evidence of Gizzard Stone Scene
Here's something of interest. I was hunting through my little archive of JP stuff in one of my cargo containers, I don't have room to just put it all out, and low and behold in the JP: Movie Storybook they have the scene in there.
Re:Evidence of Gizzard Stone Scene
uh...the gizzard stone scene?? I saw the movie in the theater when I was younger...I was 13 at the time. For the life of me, I can't remember if the scene was there or not.

I really want to say that I read somewhere that the scene actually did appear in the theatre version, but was cut for the home video release. I can't verify this though.
Re:Evidence of Gizzard Stone Scene
The only scene I remember being cut from theater to video was Ellie grabbing the leaf.

There was a shot of the Tyrannosaurs sticking his tongue into the flipped over car. There are actually a few shots that were removed that's the one I remember noticing the most.

Dont forget the scene where the Tyrannosaur breaks through the wall and into the Visitor Center.
Re:Evidence of Gizzard Stone Scene
Retards. None of those scenes were in the theatrical version of Jurassic Park. Basically, what you see on the home video version is what you saw in the theater. Your mind is playing tricks on you. The Tyrannosaur did not stick it's tongue inside the Explorer, nor did it smash through the wall. Think about it. Use some common sense and imagine how seeing the Tyrannosaur smash through the wall would ruin the surprise of it appearing there, attacking the raptor and saving the day. This is not some Universal conspiracy. It was never there. When I was six, I could have sworn that the Brachiosaur scene took place in the middle of a huge, thick forest, but it didn't.
Think.
Think.

Re:Evidence of Gizzard Stone Scene
I agree with rmuldoon. I think the T-rex breaking through the wall was just a rumor someone made up LONG ago... otherwise how would the music have fit with the sequence on the home video version (it wouldnt). As for the others... I bet you thought you saw it because they WERE planned before or presented in another form (i.e. the tongue sticking into the explorer was shown in the comics and was mentioned in the script i think, and as for what rmuldoon said about thinking the brach was in the middle of the forest, well this also leads to how the comic presented it). So what am i saying? lol What I am trying to say is that when you saw this while you were little, you perhaps read the comics too as such and therefore got confused between those and the film.
Just a thought, but bottom line: I doubt these were on the theatrical release, but i bet they could have been filmed, like the gizzard stone scene (also a comic appearance).

Retard! I remember downloading a video of the T. rex smashing through the visitors center. If I remember where I got it from I'll definaitly post it for you all to see.
