Which is better.JP,TLW or JP3?

Was it the original DNA manipulated Jurassic Park, the return of inGen in The Lost-World, or just the worth-wild running around frantically Jurassic Park III that captured your imagination.

The Lost World is my favorite. I don't give a damn about its flaws. It has better cast, characters, and FX than the first one. I don't care how differant it is from the book. If thats anybody's fault its Crichtons because he wrote the book simply so Speilberg could make a movie out of it anyway and knowing damn well the changes he was going to do with it. So we should ask ourselves why Crichton even wrote the damn book in the first place. Besides Michael Crichton basically told Speilberg that he didn't give a crap what he did to his book, as long as it got made into a movie. I LOVED the whole T-Rex rampage thing, I thought thats what made the movie as good as it was. Besides I took the liberty of watching the movie before ever having read the book. And I must say that except for a few choice scenes, the book really wasn't all that great. Especially compared to the original. I love The Lost World and I always will.

I like JP and LW both a lot, but JP is my favorite. I don't really like JP3 and already hate JP4.

All you need is love!

I like JP the best-- everything in it was great (story characters etc), nothing was rushed-- unlike JP3. I didn't really like TLW because it didn't stick to the novel, plus I was more interested going back to the first island then finding out there was another one /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" />

Ooo yea, I like TLW book way more than the movie. Fortunately I saw the movie years before reading the book, so I never had to experience that from-book-to-movie letdown. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Jurassic Park 1_____________

They say originals are the best
And they're right! It has been selected as one of the most successful movies OF ALL TIME. And of course the content itself has to be good, wait, did I say 'good'? I meant THE BEST M-F'ING MOVIE EVER!

JP1 gets 5/5 Raptor Claws!

The Lost World: JP_______________

This movie is another masterpiece.
Although they say 'First is the worst, second is the best....' in this case, it's 'First is the best, second is the 2nd best.....'
The action is overall very good. Along with the new dinos, and the 'repaints' /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> .
My only complaint is,IMO, as someone else said 'Sorna is too "evil"'..... /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

TLW gets 4/5 Raptor Claws!

Jurassic Park 3______________

This movie SUUXX.
It's level of people liking is in the movie continuity, Jp best, TLw 2nd best, JP3 3rd best and worst /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" /> .

JP/// gets 5/5 Trike/Spino poop!

I don't think so. Jurassic Park doesn't suck, but its not really a good movie either. The only thing good about it is the dinosaurs. I will admit that I like Jeff Goldblum in it and of course the fact that its because of this movie that I've ever had my first crush on an actress, Ariana NOT Laura Dern. Jurassic Park is nothing more than a summer blockbuster. The acting wasn't terrible but nothing to write home about and the story was pretty simplistic. The only loss between the book The Lost World, wich I don't really like all that much anyway, and the movie is the exclusion of the Carnotaurs. Plus the movie gave a chance for Lex to return, in the book she is only talked about, and other than the three T-Rexes thats all that I really needed to see. If Speilberg decided to go with Stopmotion animation like he originally thought about, Jurassic Park would probably have been looked upon as a failure. What makes the original bad is that its a pale shadow of what it could have been. Speilberg was given the perfect chance to recapture the terror & realism that he brought to Jaws so many years before, but ending up with tripe kiddy-fodder. If only somebody other than Speilberg had gotten ahold of the film rights, it could truly have become a movie masterpiece. As is its nothing more than a quick time waster. If only somebody would make a cable mini-series out of the first book. I swear I must be the only one on Earth who thinks The Lost World is superior to Jurassic Park. Ya know if The Lost World had come out before Jurassic Park, then it would be considered the superior one. How many of you can honestly tell me that if it wasn't for the Special Effects alone, you'd probably wouldn't even be here at this site right know or Hell this site probably wouldn't even exist. Oh ya and successful doesn't always mean good. The only reason that it was a hit at all was because of the FX. Lets rate the movies based on their strong points. These go my 5 out of 5

Jurassic Park ** 1/2 stars
Cast: 2/5 except Ariana Richards
Acting: 2/5
FX: 5/5
Story: 3/5
Characters: 2/5 except Ian Malcom

The Lost World *** 1/2 stars
Cast: 5/5
Acting: 4/5
FX: 5/5
Story: 4/5
Characters: 5/5

Jurassic Park 3 ** 1/2 stars
Cast: 3/5
Acting: 3/5
FX 5/5
Story: 2/5
Characters: 3/5
