I like John William's score. Don Davis' composition is too simple.
Can you imagine an Oscar class composer John Williams replaced by a usual composer?
Listen to Jurassic Park theme or The Lost World theme, they're amazing.
But when you listen to 'Nash Calling' (JPIII), it sounds like western movie score.
Maybe it is an effect from Randy Newman.

Huh? How does that sound like a western score? It's too happy and optomistic sounding to be in a western. If you played that score to any western it probably wouldn't fit well, because isn't subtle enough. Most modern day western films have more subtle scores.
Good grief, JP3 wasn't that good, but it wasn't that bad. But since everyone has a grudge with it here, they bash anyone that was a part of it. Don Davis is a good composer, I know that sometimes he tries too hard but he still is good at what he does. He's no John Williams, but he can still come up with cool sound tracks. You might not like JP3, but Don Davis definitely did good with the sound track. Just look at some of his other scores on www.imdb.com. I think his composing credits are pretty impressive.

John Williams is absolutely awesome. I mean, just about every really famous theme song you can think of was written by him. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Jaws, the NBC News theme, the Olympics theme, The Gilligan's Island theme (yes he wrote that), etc, etc, etc!!!!!!! In my opinion, he's the greatest composer of all time. /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Actually, John Williams only wrote the theme for the pilot of Gilligan's Island. The actualy theme for the show was some jingle the creator came up with. And he didn't actually compose the Olympic Theme (that's been around for a while), though he did make the arrangment that has become the well-known tune and does much of the composing.
Ah, true. But he did compose the official theme for one of the recent Olympics (the 2002 winter Olympics) as well.

The main theme in JP is the absolute best, it makes me cry /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
