According to spielbergfilms.com, which credits backstage.com for this information, writer John Sayles has confirmed that he is indeed working on the JPIV script rewrite (I didn't know that this wasn't accepted knowlege, but I guess that was the case).
"BSW: Speaking of Spielberg, is it true you're writing Jurassic Park IV for him?
Sayles: I'm working on it right now. I've been doing some drafts on it; I wasn't the original writer. And it's fun. I've worked for both producer Kathy Kennedy and Steven years ago, and I've done alligators and werewolves and giant cockroaches--if it eats people, I've done it. So dinosaurs are a nice addition..."
He's referring to Spielberg's "Night Skies" project from the 70's that never came to fruition.
Hopefully, the fact that Sayles is still working on the script means that it will undergo extreme changes from the draft that was reviewed by AICN, and we won't be stuck with military-trained raptors in a hideaway castle. Here's to optimism...

I also hope that we don't get military trained dinos but I thought the script looked pretty good up to that point - from the review I mean, I haven't read the script! I think that Sayles should take a load out of the 2 books that hasn't already been used and that the T-Rex should be in it more than the spino!
