y'know...ringtone...i.e. you can download custom ringtones that play various tunes. ex: Kirby Paint and Tile Plus on Westgate!

Hope is not lost. PLEASE do this. I had my laptop stolen from me at college last year. First, call the POLICE and file a report.

Second, talk to your parents, ask them (or you) to call your HOMEOWNERS insurance (if they have it) and see if its covered.

I know it sounds stupid, but lots of times homeowners insurance will cover dependands (sp) dorm rooms.

I'm 100% serious about this, I had purchased my laptop used about a montgh before it was stolen, it cost me $600, insurance gave me almost $1300.

No, it dosent matter that you left the door open, still call, I LEFT mine in the food court, it was still coverd.

Just noticed, what do you mean that Acer is sending a replacement?

that happened to me except my computer crashed and i lost this biology paper due and my friken teacher didnt believe me!! grrr...

Grrrrr. I hate when stuff like that happens and teachers blame it on you. I guess they think it's an evolved version of "My dog ate my homework."

I think teachers/schools rely way too much on computers these days. I hate the fact that I have to have a school email account. And one of the things I hate most in this entire world is Blackboard.
