'Homer' directs us to the IMDB where the "Jurassic Park 4" page has been updated. The film now has a title - says whoever updated the page - it's tagged 'Jurassic Park 4 : The Extinction'
In addition, a string of locations are listed as filming locales, including Africa, the Big Horn Restaurant, Amado, Arizona, USA, Fort Peck, Montana, USA, Kaua`i, Hawaii, Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA, Miami, Florida, USA and San Diego, California. From that one might gather that the next dino-sequel takes place - partly - in the big smoke.

IMDb has user-submitted news on movies, it's unreliable.

Alexander,

That's the truth. Anyone can submit any info they wish. Of course, when they discover an account has intentionally submitted eroneous information, they ban the account, but that doesn't stop the posers from snagging a spare account under which to do the deed.

That's why I come here to read. But, as you all know, there's been no "real" news on this project since Spielberg and Cruise got slammed at high speed into the production of War of the Worlds. It originally wasn't supposed to release until 2007, so Cruise and Spielberg both had to drop other projects, temporarily. But filming should be winding down any time now, and other, more worthwhile projects, should be picked up once more.

This is my first post here. I just joined the forums, in the hopes there was news inside which wasn't on the main page of JPDb information. Of course what's here, there's the same type of speculation and wishful thinking going on everywhere, due to the production being slowed to a screeching halt.

But you're right. IMDb is unreliable unless you're looking up older movies, or rather, movies which have already been released. It's more widely used as an advertising vehicle for publicists. Check out the "prolific authors" filter on the user reviews and see how many professional reviewers post favorable reviews of dog house movies to see just how many publicists and spin doctors do use it.

I want more than anything for there to be a JP4, but do you really thinks it's gonna happen? I have this sinking feeling that it's all just a rumor. Has Spielberg himself even mentioned the movie within the past year or two?

don't worry, there'll defenitely be a JPIV, maybe not within the next two years, but it'll happen.
I'd rather wait another three years and have one quality finale than have another JP3
