everyone has gone crazy for a lil logo. I am not gonna get hopes up until I know for sure what it is (real or fake).

Real or not, I love the way it looks. I think that's a nice approach making the logo all dark and scary looking. Now I think that logo would be perfect if they took out the Dilo (Though I like them) and replace it with a Raptor skeleton!

I think there are some excellent points you have made.jpIV wrote:Seems sketchy to me. And by sketchy, I mean whipped up in Photoshop and printed on photopaper, then placed by something formatted like a screenplay to pose for the camera. I mean, the whole thing is so dark and obscure. Movie logos tend to try to draw attention, not fade into the background (just look at the JPIII poster, for crying out loud). Everyone's hoping for a "darker" JP, and it looks like whoever made this was playing to that desire. The skeleton doesn't look like it matches the skull size at all (the skull is a graphic that they used in the first movie, which would be easy to find and import, but it would be much harder to match the rest of the skeleton from scratch or some other graphic, which is why I think it looks so odd). Plus, like "Luke Skywalker" said, with each JP movie they try to make the dinosaurs (at least the velociraptors) more accurate. It would be stupid to use the dilophosaurus (though I love it dearly and thought it was sorely lacking in JPIII, especially since they had a picture of it on the website under "dinosaurs featured in the movie") since they were so inaccurately portrayed in the first movie.
Then again, I would be glad to eat my own words if this were real (though I still wouldn't like the logo that much). As long as some progress is being made...
A question I am thinking is why would someone work on the logo before not having a clue about the final script, the cast, the release date and no public confirmation?
I don't want to look like a wally brain with some kid laughing at me because I think that his Photoshop work is real. So I think that this 'fake' is nonsence.

Update on Logo!
Okay...I E-mailed my 'friend' and told him that we are stirring up quite a debate here about the legitimacy of the poster. And he told me that he has even MORE concept art and that he will be sending me some more tonight...
I am giving you warning in advance he says some of this stuff will just 'blow your mind' (his quote). There are some ridiculous ideas for poster art work and storyboards that he has seen! I am heading off to the race right now (at California) so hopefully I will have this stuff by tongiht when I get back or tomorrow morning.
I am so psyched to see this!
Take 'er easy
