indeed we are
so "my script" should be replaced with "our script"
but besides that
i guess the rest of us are either hitting writer's block or are too busy to think of ideas
(i guess i'm kind of both)

Well, I presented my idea of the premise. With your help I may be able to make it even better. Remember that I only presented the story, and I did that as well as I could. Basically,
1. Make it book accurate.
2. Don't make it too complicated, but still believable because the audience has to believe that it could actually happen, my exact problem with JP3.
3. Make the scenes easy to understand but as clever as possible, tying the incidents together to form an entertaining thrill ride that is intelligent.
These rules also matter in all movie genres.
Now, lets start with the fact that bringing dinosaurs to mainland is extremely plausible and, if being real life, could actually happen. In TLW only the T-Rex was brought there. In this premise more dinosaurs are finally brought in. But in my idea they could still be confiscated in an area that prevents them from rampaging cities like in many Godzilla films, which we don't want this to turn out to be. The only part with a major attack in puplic space is left for the Pteranodons in the beginning, which could be a new refreshement to the old image of a big @ss lizard mowing down some buildings. We want a place where the dinosaurs can still cause damage, but also bring in more of the claustrophobic feeling, a huge underground facility built by the people that brought the dinosaurs there. Also, I felt that the Spino, even though being new, is still by itself an aging concept, a big @ss lizard, which I think only fits for the opening scene in Sorna and few other scenes, but not the whole movie. This idea is where we could build something that makes sense, but isn't boring and is extremely entertaining for those old thrill seekers and real life moviegoears still wanting more, something that Universal(and basically every movie studio) tries to please.
So, do you have any ideas? /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Anyways, here's the whole premise. I think it's quite darn good, though it did become quite long.
The movie opens to Dodgson watching a team through a video link that is sent to take blood samples from a Spinosaurus. The animal is taken down and Dodgson heads to the scene to take it's bloodsample. This is the first time he will see one of the animals upclose.
Levine goes to see a lecture where Alan Grant is talking about his experiences in the two islands. He hears that Ian Malcolm has pressed charges for the staff of InGen after John Hammond's death and the American government for doing nothing about the problem.
Cut to Washington as the government gets concerned about the dinosaurs when a flock of Pteranodons assault a city street. Levine hears about this and sets to a location in Central America with three of his students to find out what is going on. He settles down to a village full of fear for the unknown threat looming in the jungle. Levine plans to go and see what is out there, even after he's threatened by a mysterious official to keep his nose out of things that aren't of his concern.
The crooked officials try to find and arrest Levine but he escapes to the jungle before they find him, willing to risk his life to find out the truth.
Levine's little team enters an area that is being seperated by electric fence. As soon as they get past it, they are attacked by a pack of venom spitting Dilophosaurs. The Costa Rican guide that was with them gets killed.
As soon as Levine manages to scramble away he is captured by agents working for Biosyn Corporation and is taken to an underground complex holding eight dinosaur species, the following being,
Triceratops
Dilophosaurus
Velociraptor(two different versions, one being a chameleon type, the other a feathered variation with great intelligence)
Pachycephalosaurus
Compsognathus
Ankylosaurus
Ceratosaurus/Pygmy T-Rex
Spinosaurus
Levine realizes that Biosyn was behind the mayhem all along. To his horror, he is explained that they caught young specimen of Pteranodons and taught them to stay around the laboratory area so they would be easier to study. Indeed, the area has a big nesting ground where Biosyn has built an artificial river for the animals to feed. Some Pteranodons, however, had attacked the North American city, but no one in Biosyn knows where they came from, this because of a tracking system they have installed on all of the flying serpents. But this is not the only surprise Biosyn has in store. They plan to genetically alter the species they have for research that uses new genetic data to map out the genome of a dinosaur. A program for super dinosaurs is also being planned for the military. Levine opposes the idea and tries to prevent them from manipulating the dinosaurs.
After a scientist is brutally killed in an accident with the aggressive Spinosaur, the team behind the security also get's concerned about the logic behind the whole operation. There are now two groups of people, ones that think the whole thing should be shut down(backed up by Levine's claims of people dying in the village), and the ones that want to continue the research, threatening the ones who are against it with lawsuits. Dodgson and his two guerillas(that being Baselton and King), realize that the scientists and the crew of the facility turning against them could jeopardise their future in the company and bring up a plan to steal the research and get rid of Levine and everyone else involved. They shut down the power in the laboratory area, causing the door locks to jam, sealing the whole crew inside, setting to the job of getting the needed samples of blood and eggs.
After getting past the jammed laboratory doors the group is attacked by a pack of chameleon Raptors and has to lock themselves up again in order to remain in one piece. Levine immediately knows who jammed the doors and starts to make up a plan to get everything under control. He is told that there are small maintenance tunnels running under the facility in case of power shortage, making everyone decide to use them to get around without being in contact with the dinosaurs. They now have to stop Dodgson from getting away, who is working with his small team of fifteen mercenaries, including King and Baselton, to get eggs from various dinosaurs. One of his men is beaten to a bloody pulp by a herd of Pachys while Dodgson ruthlessly uses the moment to get the needed eggs, leaving the man to his death. Baselton grows tired of Dodgson's tyranny and tries to put an end to it, but Dodgson knocks him uncoscius with a tazer. Dodgson, after three of his men are savagely killed, now realizes that the Raptors have somehow freed themselves and steals a Hummer full of eggs and blood samples in order to get away. Meanwhile, Baselton wakes up and sees the remaining men fighting the Raptors and the other dinosaurs in a losing battle. He sneaks away but is spotted by a small T-Rex, chased down by it and eaten.
Dodgson is stopped by a pack of Ankylosaurs that are resting on the path. He honks the horn, makes them aggrivated by his violent looking metal beast and tries to back away with the car. The alpha male charges him before he can get away and destroys the engine with one swipe of it's tail. Dodgson grabs the closest case of a bloodsamples and runs into the jungle as the mad Ankylosaurus turns the whole Humvee into a pile of scrap. He keeps running before he stumbles and rolls down a hill, losing his last remaining samples. Dodgson, now having lost the game, comes to a dead stop as he stumbles close to a cavern that is guarded by five Velociraptors. Dodgson, having grown completely tired of the dinosaurs, throws a rock at them, shouting and kicking the ground. The rock hits one the creatures in the head and makes them attack him. "You cost me millions of dollars, freaks!", are his last words before they rip him apart.
Levine has now reached the main computer and seals the facility, locking the rampaging dinosaurs inside the complex. His team now has to contact the U.S military and get out of the area in one piece. After getting past a herd of Pachycephalosaurs, Ankylosaurs and finally the giant Spinosaurus in the film's most daring scene, Levine's group radioes for rescue and tries to leave, but is caught between a battle of the two Velociraptor tribes. They barely escape as the dumber reptilian Raptors are finished off. The Spinosaurus traps the team, but is killed by the sheer number of the Velociraptors. They, however, have to lock themselves up again to prevent the Raptors from reaching them. Levine, now that the exit route is blocked by a pack of ferocious carnivores, has to find out how the Raptors got off their pen. They manage to get themselves armed with gas grenades and enter the ventilation system that the Raptors used to get around. They soon discover a hole that leads underground. They unwillingly go inside.
Levine's group reaches an opening in a maintenance tunnel and witnesses the Raptor's new nesting grounds. They stay out of the way, observing the animals before all the dinosaurs run outside, spooked by something. Levine meets a group of soldiers that had found a way into the system. Levine is lead out of the caves and into a clearing where a helicopter is waiting. Levine thinks he has survived, but is proven dead wrong as a flock of Pteranodons attack the choppers. Levine is almost pulled out of the vehicle by a Ptera but manages to use it's beak to cut himself loose. The Pteras lose interest and disappear into the mist.
The final chapter of the film takes place in the court room where Malcolm has won his case, and therefore has finished off the last hanging remains of InGen and gotten the governent to compensate for the families of all the people that were lost. Malcolm walks out of the building and smiles as he enters his car and drives off. The story ends to a view of Raptors living in the mountains.

Do exams usually take this long?
Anyways, I've started to write the actual script now, still making different ideas as I progress, one worth a mention being a scene with the Pteras demolishing a chopper in the beginning. I hope you guys get over your writer's block soon because I may need some assistance.
