Hello, former colleagues.

This is Spinosaurus Rex. Obviously, I haven't been here in a while. I come to you with a proposition.

Many of you probably don't even recognize me since I would suppose the JP Community has a relatively high turnover rate, but I would hope some of you still do.

Anyway, I'm here to essentially beg you to vote for a new design I've created for the threadless t-shirt design competition.

I don't know how many of you know about threadless, but in short, it's a site that hosts a perpetually running contest for t-shirt designs. The designs can be submitted by anyone, and they're displayed for 7 days while visitors to the site vote their preference on the design. The designs themselves are limited by certain constraints, the biggest being the four color rule. No gradients can be used in the picture, so it sometimes limits what can be designed and in other ways, makes them more innovative.

I wouldn't come asking for help, except the subject of my design.

The design isn't posted, yet, but it should be tomorrow. I have, however, uploaded a higher quality version of the image here:

Mesozoic Medical Mirth

This is, after all, a Jurassic Park community.

The design, as I said, isn't up yet but I will provide a link to it in this thread when it goes up. In the meantime...

I'm not simply trying to run up my votes with a completely biased audience who will vote for something regardless of quality. I think you should take a look at the design, and if you like it, head over to the site (Threadless) register an account and be ready to vote based on your honest opinion. (Which, most beneficially to me, would be a "5" and a checking of the box "I'd Buy It!" Oh, and if you absolutely hate it, or hate me for some reason, I would hope you would simply boycott the competition rather than registering for the sole purpose of giving me a 0, heh.) I did feel that the design may find an enthusiastic audience at this forum, though. I hope that's true.

The only benefit to you would be that, were the design to be chosen, you could purchase the shirt to display to your friends and family. (For a relatively cheap $15) JP merchandising has been pretty quiet over the past couple years, so maybe you can consider this - a design created by a JP fan - something to tide you over until someone other than Hasbro can figure out what they want to get out of a Jurassic Park 4.

Anyway, I just wanted to bring it to your attention. The registration on the site will probably take about a minute and I'd really appreciate your help.

And, you know, I don't mean for this to be my only post this year. It's great to see the site's still up, and it looks gorgeous. I cannot complement Jon enough, as usual.

With your help, we can lead the JP Community into a new golden age. An age of glory and unity.

And we can brandish some slick and stylin' threads.

Wow. Glad to see the two of you are still around. I really like the design for the shirt. Looks awesome!

I'm in Vermont (really New York, but close enough to Vermont) right now for the day, staying at my Uncle's. I shall have a better look at it once I get back to Jersey.
