An Inspired and Emotional Cinematic Masterpiece
Once every so often, there comes a movie that opens your eyes to the beauty of filmmaking. Such past movies as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon have showed us that there are some graceful movies among the big budget yet less human movies that flood the theaters. Then, in the year 2001, came the first of The Lord Of The Rings trilogy. It showed us the power that an emotional story has. Then, in 2002, The Two Towers showed us true action combined with character drawn drama. Now, the trilogy comes to an end with The Return of the King. ROTK takes what made the first two films so great and combined them to give us a movie going experience no movie most likely ever will surpass. As the story unfold, we fell the pain of our characters. We hope they win, but our hearts we feel that defeat was inevitable. And it was, for even with victory, each character loses something.
From great action sequences to tear jerking and heartbreaking drama, The Return of the King gives us everything a great movie should have, plus so much more. Not only is this the best in the trilogy, or the best of the year, The Return of the King is easily the single greatest movie ever made.
I give The Lord Of The Rings: Return Of The King * * * * out of * * * * (Four out of Four)
My Review of The Return of the King
From what I hear, the events of "The Voice of Saruman" were cut out completely. Now, that was a rather important chapter in the books (also a big personal favourite of mine), and consequently a rather important bit for any reasonably accurate film depiction (as this is supposed to be).
What am I getting at? I'm skeptical, to say the least.

"Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and ye perish from the man, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in Thy sight. I shall purify all with a single blow. Mine enemies stand before mine eyes. Who shall mourn for Division XIII? Who shall mourn for the Vatican?"

You obviously hate the English language, too, given how you destroy it in every post you make. /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
In other news, Ark hates me, yaaaaaaaaay! Well...no...I haven't seen the movie yet (broke), but I have read the book...twice!

I believe Ark was trying to put across that he hated everyone for seeing the movie first in a mock serious way.
"I saw RotK!"

"You sharpen the human appetite to the point where it can split atoms with its desire; you build egos the size of cathedrals; fiber-optically connect the world to every eager impulse; grease even the dullest dreams with these dollar-green, gold-plated fantasies, until every human becomes an aspiring emperor, becomes his own God... and where can you go from there?" "And as we're straddling from one deal to the next, who's got his eye on the planet, as the air thickens, the water sours, and even the bees' honey takes on the metallic taste of radioactivity? And it just keeps coming, faster and faster. There's no chance to think, to prepare; it's buy futures, sell futures, when there is no future." - John Milton
