Things that you think would make Jurassic Park 4 a great movie...

1.) If it does take place on an island then let it be on Isla Nublar or a new island.
2.) Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Vince Vaughn, Julianne Moore, Joseph Mazzello, Ariana Richards, Cameron Thor, and B.D. Wong all returning.
3.) Richard Attenborough should have at least a ten minute Cameo.
4.) John Williams should do the score.
5.) No Spinosaurus.
6.) Tyrannosaurus or Velociraptors as the main Dinosaur.
7.) The running time should at least be more than 2 Hours, preferably 2 Hr and 15 Min.
8.) The Film should at least have a more darker tone like the first two.
9.) Obviously it should have an excellent plot.
10.) Emmy Rossum should be in it.
11.) It should explain more things about INGENS past and present.
12.) The ending should end the series with a bang and make sense.
13.) Have a bunch of new dinosaurs.
14.) Include action scenes from the first two books that weren't in any of the films(Example: The part in The Lost World Novel where Sarah And Kelly are on the Motorcycle chasing the raptor for the key to the cage).
15.) Needs to have more science and charector development.
16.) It can't have nothing but action and thats it, it needs to also have depth, suspence, Charector Development ext.
17.) A good director.
18.) Have a higher death count.
19.) Have the magic of the first two.

1.) HEARTY script, i mean hearty like worth-while, thought out, makes complete sense script
2.) KICK ASS DIRECTOR- someone with enough brains to keep us loving the characters, not just the action
3.) Character Development- this is extremely important, we need character development like in the first which made us truly afraid for the heroes and heroines.
4.) SIGNIFICANT PLOT- the only JPIV plot that i like is the idea of a deadly virus threatening our HUMAN extinction.
5.) No More CIRCUS dinosaurs- AKA no more rainbow colored raptors, and completely unbelievable striped brachiosaurs, also there needs to be more pupetry to make them seem more realistic, i think Jp3 was a little lazy with the CGI
6.) The BEST Finale- A ending sequence that can make us truly proud of the series

I'm glad that somebody said it. You know, people just don't realize the importance of a well-written script. If you don't have a well-written script it doesn't matter what A list actors you have, or what big name director is on the project because it will still be crap.The script is your blue print, you need it.

thanks, I cannot wait for some JPIV news! I know IV could be a tragedy, but i have faith that spielberg's idea has merit, i think he said he would have rather his new idea have been the third and final movie

Hello all, Cafeman here.

If Jurassic Park 4 is made, it cannot be another return to either island. That has been done. Been there, done that. Even if we want to see it, I do not think it would be fresh enough of a storyline or even a rational decision that we'd believe.

JP4 needs to finish the series, and in doing so it needs to (1) be heavily character based and (2) answer questions left unanswered in prior JP's and fill in certain holes.

For example, I think that a great JP4 storyline would start off showing John Hammond as a boy, watching a flea circus, playing in his room saying in front of his mirror "Welcome ... to the John Hammond Flea Circus!". I think it would be a great introduction to show how his boyish ambitions came about, then to show the raising of the JP sign on Isla Nublar, to show it as he is dreaming about it. Then his dream turns to nightmare as we see some of the scenes from prior JP's. Even show a few that weren't originally filmed, such as Henry Wu getting attacked by raptors. Also show the T-Rex rampage in San Francisco, but actually show the ship crew getting mauled by spitters, show David Koep's death from across the street (another angle). We'd eat up stuff like this. This introductory sequence could show that this is a nightmare of Hammond's, causing a heart attack which he survives. This would bring the main characters to his recovery room to wish him well.

Hammond is being watched closely with government officers present with him at all times. He slips a piece of paper to Grant. It is a web site address.

Grant checks it out later and realizes Hammond is confiding in Grant, Sattler, Harding, and Malcolm about the main plot of the film. I haven't thought too much about what it could be, but I think the only logical course would be that there were dinosaurs on the ship (From TLW) which escaped -- raptors, spitters, and compies. They have been on the mainland USA ever since, and despite the faulty lysine genetics, "Life has found a way" and they have spread over several sections of the United States, branching out from California. In fact, their reproductive ability is off the charts and totally unexpected. The government and Ingen have known about this problem; pockets of these smaller creatures have been eliminated as they have been found, but always more pockets emerge. Many animals have been killed by these pockets, and some humans too. There are internet fan sites about these occurrences, of course most people believe these reports are not true.

Hammond needs his friends to find proof that this conspiracy exists and to tell the public, who deserve to know. The rest of the film show the scientists Malcolm, Sattler, Grant, and Harding doing what they do best -- using science and their intelligence to outwit the government and Ingen's professionals and trying to discover a way to stop the ever-spreading menace of these dinosaurs.

There could be many really great sequences in such a film. Imagine a back of raptors bringing down a grizzly bear. There could be real fear and suspense introduced as some humans, even children, approach a nest unknowingly. Something that "hasn't been written yet", but lots of ideas would be great.

The whole JP4 film though should focus on the characters and prior films, tying them together and showing as many cameos as possible. It would really great to show the 4 stuck together in a car, driving somewhere, and bickering about their past experiences or some scientific detail!

I like your idea. It would be a really good way to make a film and tieing it with the previous films is something yet to be done. This is something Spielberg should think about.
