Hey all, as the topic title suggests I'm really looking for some more dinosaur fiction, aside from the work of Michael Crichton. I had a little browse on some lists on Amazon and I found Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The lost world, and The Eden trilogy by Harry Harrison.

I was mainly looking at books featuring dinosaurs, but I'm really just talking about anything about mankind and any kind of prehistoric life co-existing, whether it be in the 21st century or any other time zone. Also, any movies where this happens as well.

What I'm really interested in the basic concept for how the prehistoric life and mankind have come to coexist. One of the biggest things I love about Jurassic Park is the whole bio-engineering concept - it's a great idea to have dinosaurs and man co-existing, and has some plausibility to it. I'd like to see what other ideas writers/film makers have had as to how prehistoric life and man could co-exist.

(Needless to say though, JP is the best and always will be /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> )

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Lost World was excellent. I haven't read Eden yet. I will suggest Dinotopia. Get the books, do not watch the Hallmark movie or TV series. I beg of you. It was bad.

I just saw the miniseries; it almost made me hate David Thewlis.

Way back I read a novel called Dinosaur Planet. I can't remember the author but I thought it was pretty good. If nothing else it was pretty interesting. The same goes for the sequel. I'll try finding it online somewhere and come back with a link for you.

Dinotopia really depends on your age. You have to remember that the dinosaurs talk in those books. Cant remember any others apart from those mentioned

Here I found them.

Dinosaur Planet

Dinosaur Planet Survivors

I should warn you though(I just remembered after reading the reviews) there isn't as much Dinosaur action as you might expect. The stories don't really focus on them.
